Life drawing and painting

Welcome to our page 'Drawing & Painting Portraits from Life'. Here you will find extra resources and some of the activities of our course. Enjoy!!!

DRAWING CHALLENGE: For this course, I have created a challenge to help you improve your drawing skills when drawing faces. The purpose of the challenge is to draw 50 faces in 50 days. But, please, don't panic! These sketches don't need to be very detailed, just quick sketches of 10 - 15 minutes each. I recommend you to draw every day, using reference photos or drawing from life, if it's possible. For example, you can find lots of references on Pinterest (just type portrait or faces, and you'll find lots of photos). Also, try to use different styles and techniques (pencils, charcoal, ink, colour pencils...), draw different types of people (old, young, male, female...), from different angles and, most importantly, don't forget to have fun! I hope it's useful and I'm sure we will all learn a lot from doing this!
